ManCity won’t sign a player to replace midfielder Ferran Torres, who has moved to Barçelona.

The club are looking to give more playing time to young attacking players. In particular, 19-year-old midfielder Cole Palmer could be offered a bit of playing practice in the main squad.

Barcelona announced Torres move on 28 December. He has signed a contract until 2027. The transfer fee is valued at €55m, with a further €10m available to ManCity in the form of bonuses.
