ManCity – Crystal Palace 2:0…
The years go by, coaches change, the world itself changes… but the squad still know how to find Palace and wrap themselves up in it.
Ederson. Apart from the ridiculous yellow card we must also remember some sort of save from Gallagher, which brought the statue to 3 strikes — just 2 goals.
Joao Cancelo. Sure, 3 interceptions and 5 crosses, but no way…
Ruben Dias. 8 tackles (!) — that’s like all City usually do in a season. If it wasn’t 0-2, you’d be ecstatic.
Laporte. Naturally put on a festival of open football; both brought in and kicked out.
Walker. Brilliant game, but clearly missed Gallagher’s cover (protecting everyone’s abandoned goal for some reason).
Rodri. He had two just chances. 3 selections and 104 passes.
de Bruyne. The simple Zairean and Zambian completely scorched him and half of City’s IQ.
Bernardo. Ploughed in about twice as much as usual but without much success.
Foden. With a nifty box-to-box bring in a chance for Jesus. Sincerely a pity it was from offside. And then it looked like his opponent poked him in the tendon just inside the penalty area…
Grealish. At least someone was showing some creativity and a flair for creativity.
Gabriel Jesus. Fought like a hero, mostly and especially against Zaha. And almost made the save.
So ManCity – Crystal Palace 2:0
