Guardiola would rather lose
The Belgian midfielder has spoken out about the Cityzens’ head coach.
Manchester City midfielder Kevin De Bruyne has spoken about the football philosophy of head coach Josep Guardiola.
According to the midfielder, the specialist is so passionate about his job that he sometimes forgets to announce the starting line-up to the players.
“We always have meetings before matches and Guardiola then says: ‘We are going to do this and that. Let’s go!”. And then we say, ‘Hey Pep, who’s playing in the starting line-up?’ Sometimes he forgets to say.”
“Winning is very important for Pep, but his philosophy has an even bigger role. A lot of people don’t understand that. Guardiola would rather lose with his football principles than win through counterattacking. He really likes attacking football.
