“If you look at our players individually, you realise that they lack defensive qualities. Individually Bernardo Silva, Ilkay Gundogan, Kevin de Bruyne, Raheem Sterling, Riyad Marez, even Joao Cancelo and Oleksandr Zinchenko are poor defenders.
But we own the ball. The ball is the only reason for our stability. All that matters is what you do with the ball. You create chances because you have the ball. You allow few chances at your goal because you have the ball. Without that, the same players will have more chances at their own goal,” says Guardiola about Manchester City features.
