Fernandes names key to victory over City — Manchester United midfielder Bruno Fernandes has named the key to beating ManCity.
Saturday’s Manchester derby will be the first home game for United after a humiliating 0-5 defeat to Liverpool.
Bruno is confident that his team have learnt from that nightmare match and will be better defensively this time around.
“Not conceding is the most important thing for us because we know we have players who are capable of scoring. If we don’t concede, we can score at any time.”
“The most important thing is to defend well as a team. After the defeat against Liverpool we had a talk in the changing room about not conceding so many goals. “David de Gea defends the goal brilliantly and makes a lot of saves, but we still concede a lot of goals.
“We have to insure him better. Everyone has to insure each other: the strikers against the midfielders, the midfielders against the defenders and the defenders against the goalkeeper. That way we insure ourselves against conceded goals and we have enough skill in the squad to score at any moment,” Fernandes reports
