Manchester City are exploring the possibility of expanding their Etihad Stadium beyond 60,000 seats.
Right now, the Etihad Stadium has a capacity of 53,400 spectators, which the club achieved thanks to the reconstruction of the South Stand, completed in 2015.
City are now ready to take on the redevelopment of the North Stand, which will add a new club shop, museum and hotel. A food and drink area will also be expanded.
It is worth noting that the City already have permission to redevelop the North Stand. The club received it when they obtained approvals for the South Stand.
Manchester City’s management will begin the consultation process in early 2023.
