City are ready to trade Grealish for Bellingham

Manchester City are open to selling playmaker Jack Grealish if it helps the club get Borussia Dortmund midfielder Jude Bellingham.

Ilkay Gundogan’s expiring contract at the end of the season and Kevin De Bruyne’s age are pushing City to strengthen the centre of the pitch, and the 19-year-old Bellingham is an ideal target for the city, as well as some other Premier League sides.

Etihad expect Bellingham to leave Dortmund next summer, with Jude’s value likely to exceed £100m.

Due to financial fair play restrictions, City would find it difficult to shell out that kind of sum. And Football Insider claims that the Citizens are willing to sacrifice Grealish for the sake of inviting his England team-mate.

City bought Grealish from Aston Villa for £100m in the summer of 2021, but Jack has yet to establish himself in the starting line-up, despite regular words of support from City head coach Josep Guardiola.

Suffice it to say, the 27-year-old Grealish has played 1,039 minutes for City this season, but only made one impact with a goal against Wolverhampton
