Guardiola clearly brings his team to their senses and they start the second half with an assault. Nathan Ake shoots a header into the crossbar, then Kevin de Bruyne checks Kepa Arrizabalaga with a shot from the edge of the box.
Pretty soon, Chelsea stifle this impulse of the opponent and celebrate with a moment of their own. Tiago Silva shoots from the centre of the box but misses the target slightly.
Having slow down a little, City still look better and, in the 63rd minute, they open the scoring — thanks to two substitutes. Jack Grealish crosses from the left edge of the box to the far post where Riyad Mahrez beats Marc Cucurella to make it 0–1.
Soon, the SkyBlues settle down and take the lead to victory without too much trouble. The Blues try their best but have no real chances to get back into the game.
