Manchester City — Brentford 2:0. Afterwords.

Manchester City — Brentford 2:0. Cityzens get a hardly comfortable win. So a lot of disturbing glances remain.

Ederson. Made some really bright saves, but all from obvious offsides bees.

Joao Cancelo. But he could have stuck it in after Mahrez’s shot; or after he had beaten everyone. Or with a long range… 4 selections, 3 interceptions and 6 shots (!).

Ruben Dias. Comfortably discounted on Laporta’s super shot.

John Stones. City’s new right back. However, such ideas were in the air – we should live three games without Walker. Slipped, sent his foes on the attack and Ederson to the doctor.

Laporte. Could have solved everything.

Rodri. Enslaved the entire field, which the Bees didn’t really qualify for. 93 assists.

Kevin de Bruyne. Helping those whose backs are wet; and David Raya understands that perfectly.

Bernardo. Ran vigorously, but no more than that.

Mahrez. Back very, very nicely.

Foden. Just how we like it: ran, batted, tried.

Sterling. Could (and tried) to score the goal of the season with side scissors. But did not despair and soon brought the Danes a penalty.

The defeat at Manchester City (even if not a blowout) is not a reason to criticize the team, and Brentford looked good defensively. But for Thomas Frank’s team it was the fifth in a row in the league. In their last 17 Premier League games, the Londoners have won only three.

So Manchester City — Brentford 2:0.
