Guardiola: ‘Silva played in an outstanding way’ as ManCity beat Burnly 2:0

Josep Guardiola has reiterated his praise

Josep Guardiola has reiterated his praise for midfielder Bernardo Silva.

Having failed to break away from City last summer after an unimpressive last season, Silva did not despair but picked himself up and returned to his best form.

Bernardo opened the scoring in City’s 2-0 win against Burnley on Saturday and Guardiola once again celebrated the 27-year-old Portuguese’s transformation.

“He is in his best form, along with Rodri. They have both been incredibly good in the last four or five matches.”

“Bernardo has stepped up to the level he showed in our second season together when we scored 98 points. He played like he was out of this world.”

“He is always ready to make the missing touch, the missing pass and he doesn’t lose the ball. He scored an important goal for himself.”

“Bernardo once again played in an outstanding way. We are incredibly lucky to possess him. We are enjoying having him with us and right now he is playing unbelievably again, it’s top-level.” — Josep Guardiola has reiterated his praise for Bernardo
