Manchester City vs Arsenal 1-0. Nathan Ake’s goal gives Manchester City a 1-0 win over Arsenal to reach the FA Cup 5th round.
In the first half at the Etihad, the home side holds on to the ball better, but the visitors look more dangerous. In the 21st minute, Leandro Trossard has his best opportunity for the Gunners when he stricks from outside the box but Stefan Ortega saves his side.
The City’s shots are mostly inaccurate, including a dangerous attempt by Kevin de Bruyne to curl the ball into the far corner of the net.
The teams start the second half with gusto. Then the tempo begins to fade and a goal comes in the 64th minute. Julian Alvarez shoots from distance shot into the bar, but Grealish picks the ball up on the left edge of the penalty area. Jack stomps on the spot before making a short pass to Nathan Ake, who rolls the ball into the bottom corner of the net to make it 1-0.
Arsenal’s attempts to get back into the game are rather timid. The Gunners put Ortega under pressure for a couple of pairs but fail to mount a tangible assault.
Perhaps that would be better for both teams. Arsenal will focus on fighting for the Premier League title, while City retain the opportunity to reap the trophy. So Manchester City vs Arsenal 1-0 in FA Cup tough clash.
