
City sign Foden. Blues reach agreement in principle with their midfielder Phil Foden on a new long-term contract.
Foden is expected to tie up his future with City until 2028 in the near future.
The new deal will increase Foden’s wages several times over to £250,000 per week. Phil will therefore be able to earn £78m over the next six years.
The 22-year-old Englishman made his debut for Manchester City in November 2017 and has since scored 48 goals and provided 35 assists in 179 games for his home club.
Foden has been in the starting line-up for City in all seven games this Premier League season. He has three goals and two assists.
