City have secured prize money of £164m for winning the Premier League in the 2021/22 season.
As you know, prize money in the Premier League is made up of several components. Each of the 20 clubs receives an equal share from the sale of television rights in the UK and abroad and from the league’s commercial activities.
A higher position in the final table and a greater number of matches shown live provide clubs with additional prize money.
As already stated, City’s prize money was £164m – the most in the division and £10.1m more than the previous season.
Second-placed Liverpool FC got £162.3m (+£14m), fourth-placed Tottenham £155.1m (+£15.7m), third-placed Chelsea FC £154.9m (+£4.1m).
Norwich FC, who finished in the last place, will get the least – £98.5m. The division’s total prize money is estimated at £2.621bn.
