City crush Copenhagen in UCL 5:0

City crush Copenhagen in UCL as Erling Haaland goals help them to get an overconfident 5-0 victory.

Regarding Manchester City’s derby on Sunday, City coach Josep Guardiola swaps half the field players, giving Ruben Dias, Aymeric Laporte, Sergio Gomez, Riyad Mahrez and Julian Alvarez a chance.

Copehagen last less than seven minutes at the Etihad. Joao Cancelo crosses from the right wing and Erling Haaland stricks a touch from the centre of the penalty area to make it 1-0.

The quick goal doesn’t relax the hosts, who dominate their opponents and regularly come out firing.

After a number of missed chances, City still double the score. On 32 minutes, Haalland converts the spot-kick after Gomez’s long-range shot deflects by the goalkeeper to make it 2-0.

Another seven minutes passes before the scoreline opens. Gomez again dares to take a long-range shot which ricochets off two away players to make it 3-0.

Soon after the start of the second half, Laporte hands a foul in the opposition penalty area and Mahrez’s shot from the 11-metre mark opens the scoring for the season, 4-0.

In the 71st minute, Alvarez hits the post. However, only five minutes later, Julian stricks the ball from outside the box following a Mahrez cross to make it 5-0.

Haalland scores again and City win comfortably with a big score. In short, it is a predictable evening for City.
